DIENES Apparatebau GmbH is a company with a long tradition and rich experience. DIENES was founded in 1930 by Fritz Dienes in Mühlheim am Main to produce electrical toys with heating applications. After the war the company concentrated on small and medium scale heaters and radiant heaters for industrial use. By the end of the 1950s the contact to the textile industry was established which resulted in close cooperation with major man-made fiber producers. This was the base for groundbreaking developments in the following years. The research of DIENES focused in the following years on heating technology for the emerging man-made fiber production. At first DIENES concentrated on components for the treatment of polyamide fibers - better known under the trademark Perlon. Due to its outstanding technology DIENES was able to extend its scope of supply and soon DIENES equipped complete draw zones, draw wind and draw twist machines with inductive heated rollers, heat plates and tube heaters. The 1980s were marked by further advancements caused by the increasing demand for fibers. The size of the godets was enlarged and the temperature accuracy improved. 1988 DIENES introduced the first multi zone induction heated godet which set a standard in polyamide and polyester spinning mills. Furthermore the precision of DIENES heating tubes used for texturing processes build up a world wide reputation. The range of DIENES products was further extended by the introduction of the contact less signal transmitter system Rototronik®. In the mid 1990s DIENES presented the new "All-In-One" godet concept with the integration of the mechanic and electronic parts. This convincing godet design is used in multiple spinning machines worldwide for high quality production. Today DIENES provides together with partners engineering services and complete machines and lines for melt and wet spinning processes for the production of man-made fibers.
