Established in 1835, Griff Chains Ltd is situated in the historic heartland of the chain-making industry in the Black Country, West Midlands. With the hand chain workhouses and Black Country Museum demonstration shop nearby, the roots of our industry are always visible. However, Griff has moved with the times and is proud to be one of the select few UK companies that still manufacture its own chain. With a worldwide reputation for quality, reliability, excellent load bearing and competitive pricing, our chains are used in the marine, leisure, military and industrial sectors. Over the years, we have been involved in a number of exciting projects, the most recent being the transportation of the remake of the Titanic anchor for the televised programme "Titanic: The Mission". As the company developed it felt the need to diversify into other areas and our agricultural division have established a brand name, over the years, that is renowned throughout Britain and Europe for performance and reliability. Griff supply a wide range of webs, conveyors, component parts and accessories to the agricultural market. Our design team are always striving to improve and extend our range of products. Our latest innovation is 'Enduroloc' our new high strength, long lasting web joiner system - designed to strengthen and increase performance of our web belts - which was launched at the LAMMA show 2011. Our engineering section has been built up to enable us to provide a wide range of components and assemblies for general applications throughout industry, including hot forming and general machining using CNC lathes and machining centres. We supply products to the defence, animal husbandry, motor and leisure industries. Recent investment in new technology and machinery means Griff has increased its capacity to meet customer needs.
