It was founded and organized in 1995 by four mathematics enthusiasts namely Dr. Simon L. Chua, Mrs. Rechilda P. Villame, Ms. Loly T. Ong, and Mr. Misael Jose S. Fisico. With the support of Department of Education (DepEd) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Science Education Institute, MTG contributes to uplifting the standard of the Philippine mathematics education through the continuous conducts of annual seminars, workshops and training for both teachers and students. As membership grows in number, the MTG kids from grades 1 to 11 students undergo intensive training programs which in effect have gained wide public acceptance, commendable support and recognitions from schools, teachers, parents, associations and private individuals.
