One of its path breaking achievements relates to developing the most advanced Modular Cartridge Cases for 155 mm Bi-modular Charge Systems (Bofors Gun). These pioneering efforts have been acknowledged by Govt. of India by honouring the company with a National Award for Indigenization of Defence Products. S M Group also has state-of-the-art facilities for design, development and manufacturing of personnel protection, vehicle armor and aircraft armor. One of the ambitious projects is that of being the first to produce Next-gen ceramic armor in India. S M Group is also the leading manufacturer of molded pulp packaging which is 100% biodegradable and recyclable.
