STILL ROOM

Founded by Jessica Fleischmann in 2007, Still Room is an award-winning graphic design and creative studio based in Los Angeles and in Hudson, NY. The studio is known for work with arts and culture clients; our interests extend into the everyday architecture and furniture, food and fashion, education and music. Recent commissions include books and exhibition graphics, identity and branding, web design and signage and wayfinding. Still Room aims to create work that is artistic but attainable, thoughtful but unpretentious, and relevant without being trend-driven. We start every project afresh working closely with our clients to learn about them, their organization and the way they work. While there is no formula to our design process, common themes around color, typography and materials are explored to the fullest with each new commission. Still Room is a socially, environmentally and politically aware studio that believes good design can bring about positive change. Clients can be from the private and public sector, and have a shared sense of social responsibility. Regardless of client or brief, the studio aims to create work that is memorable and influential. Jessica Fleischmann is the founder and creative director of Still Room. Her work has been recognized by the AIGA 365 and AIGA 50 Books/50 Covers, and British Book Design and Production Awards, among others. She has held teaching positions at UCLA, Otis College of Art and SCIArc and co-founded X Artists Books a publisher of high-quality artist-centered books.
