WELLSITE PERMIT TO WORK ASSOCIATION

The Wellsite Permit to Work Association (‘the Association’) is a not-for-profit association created by the Australian onshore oil and gas industry with the objective to improve the safety of operations on onshore drilling wellsites through the use of the Wellsite Permit to Work System® (‘the System’). The Association is the owner of the System and as well as managing and maintaining the System, the Association manages a training accreditation program. Its objective is to ensure the highest quality training is delivered so that the integrity of the System is maintained and the acceptance of wellsite safety is entrenched in the industry. A common permit to work system underpinned by a common and consistent training strategy has enabled companies to reduce the time, costs and uncertainties inherent in introducing their people to new and varied systems of work and that has resulted in significant safety and cost advantages.
